Unfit for Education is the fourth chapter of Bittersweet Candy Bowl. Yashy contemplates when she should be starting pre-school herself. Meanwhile during Lunch, Sue attempts to have the gang take part of an experiment regarding obsessive compulsive disorders.
The chapter begins with Lucy wondering when school will be over, the idea prompting Yashy to wonder when she should be starting school herself, the idea becoming of some amusement to Mike. Not seeing the answers she's looking for between Mike's bullying and Lucy's insistence she isn't like them, Yashy throws a paper ball at the teacher to get her attention, before asking if there were any school programs available to her. She is immediately put down by the teacher for being nothing more than a pet, and then angrily consigns herself to be with the other pets in the class - a hamster called Hamtaro.
During break, Sue gathers several others to perform in a test on a hypothesis on obsessive compulsive disorders. Meanwhile, David develops his own hypothesis with Amaya as his test subject, that all teens go through puberty and is promptly slapped by her when he attempts to feel her chest. Lucy agrees to help before being followed by Mike. Yashy asks to join, but still bitter from Lucy's teacher first asks whether or not it can only be taken by superior species, before being joined by Paulo and Daisy as well.
Sue explains her test is a repetition on a hypothesis they learned where attempting to block a bad thought will make it more intrusive. She tells the group not to think of a polar bear and to say 'bear' if they do think of one. While the others around him fail to keep the idea out of their heads, Mike instead thinks of Lucy, until he thinks of her soft white fur and then imagines a polar bear. When Sue gives the OK to stop, Yashy finds herself unable to and keeps saying 'Bear'. Mike makes another jeer about her only having a one-track mind causing Yashy to snap and attack him. Lucy makes an observation she stopped saying bear, to Yashy's realisation.
